“Classes with Amee ma’am were truly valuable. She had the habit of keeping the atmosphere light and engaging. She would make her own practice sheets that were creative and very helpful for visual learning, since these included exercises, doodles and mind maps that helped us understand concepts and link subtopics , when the material seemed too heavy to comprehend as a whole.
She always left the class open for discussions and debates (except when it came to postponing deadlines, we can’t have it all, can we?). Our enthusiasm, that sometimes turned into heated discussions weren’t always pleasant at first, but it built character.
There were moments when I couldn’t quite keep up with her pace, but now that I’m in law school, I realize it was often because she explained concepts keeping their practical application in mind, though it definitely was more than enough preparation for our board exams in school, it seems to me now all that was mainly preparing us for law school. That approach could be confusing at times, but I’ve come to understand that clarity often comes when you step back from the rush and reflect on them away from the pressure.
In conclusion, I’m grateful and glad we got her to take up legal studies for those two final years of schooling before college. She kept us grounded – humble enough to know we ll never know enough , but confident enough to trust that we can always learn what we don’t know and that we’ll always figure it out at the end of the day.”
