Amee ma’am has been a major catalyst for my pursuit of a career in law.
Personally, being from a science background- Legal Studies, at first, was just an elective subject; and now, it has become my career that I am passionately and proudly pursuing. Amee ma’am’s way of teaching is unique and engaging.
Throughout my two years with her, every concept covered
is still crystal clear in my memory, with the foundations taught from scratch.
Although the subject was entirely new to me, through examples and fun class activities, like – pictorial representation of cases, mind maps that simplified seemingly lengthy and complex topics, and revision worksheets , the process of my learning was almost entirely taken care of.
Besides the method of teaching that I observed, ma’am has always pushed me do my best, whether it be improving my way of answering in an exam, or recalling concepts during class. She always understood my strengths and weaknesses.
Moreover, she was always involved in not only mine, but all her students’ academic life, especially during competitive exam season. I have always viewed ma’am has more of a mentor than just a teacher or faculty in school; and someone who emphasised the importance of working smart and hard(when necessary).
Through ma’am’s teaching, my first year in law school has been easier, because it’s not only the subject that she taught me, but – arguably more importantly- how to study.
